The rolling companion to The Kaufmann World Encyclopedia of Premium Cigars. Vintage notes, new release reviews, lounge dispatches, and featured pairings — published every three months.
Cigar & Cocktail Magazine is the quarterly companion to The Kaufmann World Encyclopedia of Premium Cigars — a 588-page reference work documenting 17 producing countries, 17 brand profiles, and the Kaufmann Cigar Score (KCS) v2.1 methodology.
The encyclopedia is, by editorial commitment, a five-year reference. The magazine is the rolling correction. Each quarterly issue documents what has shifted in current production, what has been released since the encyclopedia close date, and what the encyclopedia treated only briefly.
Each issue contains: vintage notes on observed production shifts; new release reviews scored on the KCS rubric; a featured Notebook essay drawn from the magazine's online supplement; a lounge dispatch from a notable venue; and a featured pairing recommendation.
The KCS rubric is published. Calibration is documented. Scores carry vintage markers. The magazine maintains the same editorial discipline as the encyclopedia.
The encyclopedia is the foundation. The magazine is the rolling supplement. Together they form the editorial position of this publication.
