Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes the limited data this website collects and how it is used.

Information Collected

Newsletter subscribers. When you subscribe to the Cigar & Cocktail Circle newsletter, we collect your email address. We do not collect your name, postal address, telephone number, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services / CloudFront) maintains standard server logs that include IP address, browser type, page visited, and timestamp. These logs are used for security and performance purposes.

Analytics. If analytics are deployed (e.g., privacy-respecting analytics like Plausible or self-hosted Matomo), they collect aggregate page-view data without personally identifying visitors. We do not use Google Analytics or any analytics service that builds individual user profiles.

Cookies

This website uses minimal cookies. The age-verification confirmation is stored in browser localStorage so you do not need to confirm your age on every visit. No advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party social-media trackers are deployed.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share newsletter subscriber data with any third party. Newsletter delivery may use a service provider (e.g., Buttondown, Mailerlite, ConvertKit) which is bound by its own privacy policy and acts as a data processor on our behalf.

Your Rights

If you are a resident of the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data privacy laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact the editor at privacy@cigarcocktailmag.com.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent revision.
